Stand still long enough in our home and there is a great likelihood that you will be labeled and placed in drawer unit. Steralite drawers...I love them, every size, every style, they are my favorite organizing tool. They are sturdy, waterproof, easy to clean, inexpensive and easily customized. The ones shown below are just the ones in my studio, I'm embarrassed to say how many other ones are in our home, let's just say "alot".
Small embellishments that are not part of a specific theme (more on those later) are stored by color. I was inspired by Stacy Julian's Scrap By Color video series and I love this method. It makes it so much easier when you want to add something to page or card... you may not know exactly what it is, but you know it needs to be green (or pink, or whatever color). Everything goes in these drawers by color. If I purchase a package of embellishments that includes several colors, I separate them into these drawers. Really tiny things are sorted into small baggies, boxes and baby food, tiny jars. (Tiny Jars? Save these when you get individual serving size jars at restaurant or hotel room service) The color coded daises on these were made using the Uchida 2" Circle Punch and the Fiskars Oopsie Daisy Squeeze Punch. I have a bit of a love affair with that daisy punch, it shows up everywhere!
Here's what the drawers look like inside..the Pink and one of thee Blue drawers. Not always all seperated and neat, but actually I like to sift through the treasures and find just what I need.
I also use the same type of drawer units only larger for other tools and creative necessities!
Itt-bitty drawer unit storing trimmer blades, eraser refills, and such.
All of the drawers fronts were customized with a collection of papers from the Paper Studio from Hobby Lobby. There is ALOT of hidden scotch tape holding those strips of paper onto the drawer fronts!
Tomorrow - "Inspiraton Storage"!

Bringing you some love. Good job on the organization tips!
